We didn't plan to start a cat-food brand; we just wanted the best food for our cat, Chihiro. Finding truly good food wasn't simple: labels were noisy, definitions slippery, and "premium" didn't always mean biologically right. So we went down the rabbit hole, became obsessed, read trusted Reddit threads, read countless research papers, and spoke with veterinary experts worldwide.
Along the way, we learnt a simple truth: what (and how) cats eat is one of the biggest levers for their long-term health and the precious years we get with them. We began in the kitchen, sharing small batches with Chihiro's friends, listening to feedback, refining every recipe and seeing the difference in empty bowls and happier bellies. Many cat parents felt exactly like us: wanting clarity, quality, and honesty.
So we started True Hunt with one truth at the centre: cats are obligate carnivores. Our prey-inspired recipes are meat-first, rich in organ nutrients, and moisture-forward, with added vitamins and minerals, developed under veterinary guidance and produced in a human-food facility with over 50 years of experience, because cat food should meet real-food standards.

What is in the name?
We named our food True Hunt because our every recipe follows a real-hunt blueprint, so the bowl mirrors the prey a cat is born to eat. It's our promise to stay true to their instincts.
